Sometime in May, I
had an issue with a blown amplifier. The Subwoofer amplifier, an MB
Quart RAA-1000 Reference series mono Amplifier blew on me. To this date
I am unsure why it happened, but after several phone calls, it was
replaced under warranty. However several days later I found out that
since this amplifier was discontinued they offered to upgrade me to
their Q-Series amplifier. After some negotiation, I was able to also
switch out the Reference 4channel I was using for the mids and highs
with a Q series 4 channel. This though created additional problems,
since the Reference and Q-Series amplifiers were different sizes. Thus I
had to rethink the design of the existing system.
Due to a complete of
the redesign of the trunk, the addition of an Audio Control LC-8 to sum
the front channels to reestablish front to rear fade and all new
speakers, this install qualified for a denotation of version 2.0
